We talk to our daughters about boys, their menstrual cycles, and their careers…and we talk to our sons about girls, good hygiene habits, and making a lot of money…………..yet never about their HAIR. As a HAIR treatment specialist…I know for sure that all other conversations will never trump a Bad HAIR Day. The right hair cut, color, and style is EVERYTHING to someone. Every Kodak moment in Life is measured by how good we look…and our hair is the deciding vote for the thumbs up.
The HAIR DO or DON”T tells the story…as to how you feel about yourself at that moment. Personally, I have thrown away great photos when the HAIR was a mess. WE can make silly faces and wear crazy clothing…and the Perfect HAIR style is all that matters. Males and Females respond to a Great compliment about HAIR.
From birth…comments and compliments are heard about the HAIR. Does she have any HAIR, does she have a lot of HAIR? After all this is the sign that you have had a girl or a boy. The mother wraps a headband or places a bow on this tiny head to announce to the world that she indeed is a girl….after all who is seeing this gorgeous sweet little person in all that PINK!
Having the HAIR Conversation is very important. The HAIR is the one thing about us that we look at, care for, style, attend to, manage, and groom everyday. I have had conversations with males and females…ages 5 – 85…who have based whether to continue LIVING… based on the condition of the HAIR. It’s so crazy…you and I can have the perfect dress, shoes, earrings, and etc….yet the HAIR can keep us from not attending this event we have been looking forward to for weeks and months.
Choosing the right professional cosmetologist for the Wedding Do….or having the HAIR Perfect for that first date….or making the best impression for the job interview….the HAIR must be just right. Males have been rejected by both females and businesses….for not having the right or best HAIR image.
All through our lives we have dozens of HAIR Conversations….so to the Mothers and Fathers…have the HAIR Conversation with your daughters and sons….along with all the other conversations. Share with them that their HAIR will always help identify who they may possibly be to the world. Some may not agree that HAIR is so important….especially those who have never had a “Bad HAIR Day”. The first time the HAIR cut is wrong, the color is bad, and the style is a mess….The HAIR Conversation will be one of the most important conversations in that person’s life…..be it at the age of 10 to 100.
Have you had The HAIR Conversation with your family…yet? Especially with a Teen………..Whenever you have it….just remember to have it with…LOVE…COMPASSION, and the FACTS. Do not lie! Share the Truth. Do not say it looks OK…or good…when it is not. Share that it is fixable…redeemable…and can probably grow again. And should there be a medical reason for the HAIR challenge….Seek Specialist who are trained in HAIR care.
